This is my drawing of the Hoatzin. When I first read the word, I attempted to pronounce it by breaking it down into groups. I came up with "hoe-a-tsin" and "hutz-sin." Upon further research, I realized the word is pronounced \wä(t)-ˈsēn\
I wasn't sure if the Hoatzin was a bird or a mammal or fish as that wasn't entirely clear from the text. However using context clues, I came to the conclusion that it was somewhat of a land-water species, like a duck which was pretty much correct. I was surprised to see the vibrant color of the bird, as that wasn't mentioned in the text at all. However, using context clues I was pretty much able to obtain a basic understanding of an otherwise unfamiliar, new concept.
